I am sorry to all of you that I have not been working on the pages that definietely need updated. I will try to get back to them in September.
We have given out twenty caskets since May 29, 2008. We seem to be doing a lot more with the bereavement area than with anything else. I have been sending some new requests to other organizations to be fulfilled. We at this time have 32 caskets left, ranging in length from 10 inches to 36 inches. We are out of larger childrens caskets and am currently working with a casket manufacturer to supply these.
We have 350 burial outfits in various sizes still on count. These range from tiny to young adult. We also have 28 comfort pillows left for the grieving parents. I do want to thank all of you who are staying in contact with the families for follow up after care. This means a lot to them and to me. We often lose sight of the fact, that these people need friends who are there and will listen as they walk through the grieving process. I also want to thank al of you who are doing this work, for giving me the ideas, that you see that we can utilize to help these parents and families.
We are looking for someone who can keep the webpages up to date, as this is an area, I really have no desire to pursue. I was not sure about the move from Grant County to the internet, but I do see that we are fulfilling more needs.
Our miscarriag packages have been a wonderful hit. We here nothing but good remarks about this new area. The books and information have been a big hit. The prayer area is growing by leaps and bounds. Followuup care is growing. Children in crisis has really taken a jump also. The area that seems to have slowed down is the DV area and this is a good thing.
We have been contemplating a bereavement class for those workiers who would like to be involved in this area and have a heart of compassion. If you feel God is calling you to this area, let me know. We will probably do it in the way of internet meetings.
A great big thank you goes out to those of you who helped with the Ukranian couple that lost there second baby in the the last three years. All is in the process of healing, and they will remain the number one prayer request on my list. It was heart rendering to work with a family, who has been through this once before, and to be able to be with them from the stillbirth until the burial. I personally learned a lot more about the funeral planning process than I ever cared to. We will stay with this family until they no longer need us.
Hope you all are having a wonderful summer, I know by the amount of incoming items you are all having a busy summer.

It has been a month already and we have been busy! We are currently working on beareavement packages to ship. We have 20 boxes covered with matching memory boxes and now are working on filling them. We will be continuing with this project until we get all 100 done. A big Thank you goes to Sharon who is keeping us supplied with finished memory boxes. We never run out or short as this wonderful lady just keeps completing them for us.
We have already begunn to fill our bargraphs to completion. A big thank you goes to all of you for this help. Without you and your dedication we would not move forward.
With the weather breaking, our 18 unfinished caskets will move to top priority. We now have 20 casket makers so this area should move ahead rapidly. The area of bereavement seems to be our biggest need area at this time. We will also be working on larger items in this area. With the coming of summer, we will once again be kept busy with all sizes.
We are also in need of items for seniors and items for womans shelters. Please remember that children come through these shelters.
We are going to try to update a little more often, however, I ask for forgiveness if I only get tot his blog once a month.

A special thank you goes to Pam W. who has donated a baby blanket, a guilt, 10 yards of Satin and 1000 gallon sized ziplock baggies. Without a giving heart this orgaization would not be complete.

We have been busy, so watch to see how our bargraphs change on our freely given site!

Boy have we had the requests come in. It is heart-breaking as two of the requests had previously been made of another charity, and they have not received one item. We will be pushing the burial items out in sizes 1-8 pounds for some photographers. We will also be making early loss items for another charity who is having troubles keeping up with their requests. We have a number of requests that have come in this month for newborn blankets and hats.
I am happy to report that not only do we have members who are taking on the compete requests that have come in, we have 29 sewers working on burial gowns to get these orders fulfilled. We will fill the orders that had been requested of another charity first (the 1-8 pound gowns and the photographers) then we are going to rapidly work on getting some for backstock. We are running low on wedding gowns and formals, but God will supply. In the meantime, I will purchase satin as needed.

We have received three phone calls this week. We are in need of 100 stuffed animals, 50 memory boxes, 50 burial outfits is various sizes and newborn or larger outfits. The burial outfits and the memory boxes will be going to the same location. Iwill be loading the information on our embracingeternalmemories.com site.

We have been really busy as this year comes to a close. We have had a huge amount of requests for bereavement packages for both children and adults. We have completed all requests in this area and are working on getting some available to have on hand.
Our bereavement area seems to be the biggest area of need. We have given out a number of caskets, burial packages and bereavement items. We have wedding gowns coming in and a number of stores who have donated fabric for this area. We will be sewing for the remainder of the month to get the stock counts back up. We also have a number of people filling requests for next year. We will be adding two foster homes to our list and a request for 100 childrens chemo caps.
I need to add thank yous once again. I want to thank Marni, who has jumped in and is willing to receive all deliveries for California. We have 18 places that we regularly give to in this state and she will will receive your items and get them to their delivery spots.
We need to give Carol a big applause for jumping in and handling our Oregon area. This area has two police departments, one child abuse agency, three funeral homes, and nine hospitals.
We need to give Shelby a round of applause for jumping up to the plate to receive the deliveries for the six receiving homes we supply to in Alaska. These are infants and childrens waiting placement
We also give to Carmen, a big thank you for being a warehouse for us and a delivery person for Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina. We have a number of items going to these three states and she is also willing to take up a few more states in her area. If you are unsure were you would like to send your donations, she is also warehousing extra items. She is at this time responsible for twenty-two hospitals, two birth centers, six county foster homes, toys for trauma (this will be announced officially in the first quarter of next year), nineteen domestic abuse shelters, and twenty funeral homes. She is always accepting donations.
Watch for a number of new announcements in the first quarter of next year. We have had a number of members with some great ideas and they have been doing a trial run. We have decided that we will take all limits off of what we do so let us know, if there is an area you would like to serviced.

We have been growing by leaps and bounds. We will be removing our chat rooms here in the near future. We have another source of communication that will be invite only. We have decided that this would be the best way to keep the identity of the people we help their own privacy. We have been asked by clients, what information we are giving to members about them, and it did make me think things through. We will not be giving any personal information or mailing addresses of personal requests. We will ask people to sign up to fill these needs as they fill lead, and then we will release this information to them personally. We will continue to keep the growing list of public places that ask for help available to all.
We are in the process on disciplining one member. We are waiting for the response to the gossip this person has started. We do believe that a person has a right to let us know what is the idea ( what they are attempting to accomplish) with this. Maybe they are trying to help and just going about it the wrong way. We will continue to use the three strike rule. They may be doing what they feel is a good thing and it is not for us to impose immediately judgement. It is more than likely a mistake unknowingly made and probably will not even count as a strike. I am a firm believer that God is the judge, and He will close the door on them if they are not supposed to be here with us. I will not be the one to close the door, as there heart could be right and God is using this as a teaching process for them as well as for us.
We have had another request for 12 small christmas boxes. These are for children under the age of 6. They are all going to the same place as one delivery. We have lots of pictures to get posted as we have almost reached our original goal. This have been such a big help to those who otherwise would have nothing, that I will be purchasing remaining Christmas fabric from the clearance racks. I know of a foster care system and a nursing home that is really excited about the delivery dates. I am so glad that God led us to bring the true meaning of being a Christian to these people. We get the opportunity to share in Gods love with people we do not even know.
Our big delivery to Salem went wonderful. We were not allowed to take pictures of anything other than the staff that were their to receive us. This is due to privacy laws. We have one more big delivery to make to the Portland area before the year ends and I am proud to announce it is done and ready to go.
You are all so wonderful and I am truely blessed by each and everyone of you. I see the items coming to this location, for the start of next year and I have heard that the other location spots are receiving items for next year. It looks like we will be starting 2008 with a headstart. You guys are so generous. All of our known deliveries will be done by the 15th of December and their is still funding left over that had been set aside for supplies for this year, and now will be used to help, yet in another way, we will be blessing families with Christmas dinners. All four warehouse spots are now working on locating four families in their area that will receive help. This means that a total of 16 families will be receiving a Christmas Dinner. What a wonderful bonus for all of us!!!!
